PROJECT 1: Contextual Study Sketch Journal of a Traditional Street
In this assignment, we are required to come out with 8 pages of sketches of the understanding of the tangible and intangible context of the traditional street using various media. The site I chose was Jalan Tun HS Lee, Kuala Lumpur analyzing the inseparable and tradition cultures that have been influenced there over the years.

In this assignment, I learned discipline-specific knowledge from what I learned in lectures, and understand the context of the field of study. I learned how to observe and do urban sketching, to take a step back and feel, and understand the stories behind each place not just shelters for us. I was able to be aware of my own culture, multiple cultural diversities, and ethical values in Jalan Tun HS Lee. To improve, going to the site earlier would have benefited us a lot earlier, so more tutorial time could be used efficiently. If I communicated more and interacted with locals, I could have collected more intangible context compared to physical context.
PROJECT 2: Poster and Seminar Issues in Asia Architecture
As a group, from what was identified in project 1 and expanding the scope of studies of Issues in Asian Architecture. Through that, we'll have to come out with possible solutions with the support of case studies and present them in a form of posters and video presentations. The topics could be based on Architecture and place identity, Sustainable heritage tourism, Adaptive reuse of traditional architecture and Cultural space in cities
This assignment made me an opportunity to train my skills to communicate as a group, I learned that communicating ideas really takes a big part here as it ensures everyone is on the right track. Other than that I gain a view on global perspectives to what other countries in the world are doing to preserve and conserve traditional architectures that we could study from them. As a problem in this project, we started our progress late so we missed out on several tutorials, this was my biggest regret. I think in order for us to improve we could have gone to the site to film the video. Lastly, in this project, I realize the usage of terms and verbs for the tiles and contents is really important, so it requires a deeper literature level to truly understand to apply it, which is what I'll be aiming for.
